O pianista - The pianist

Senão a música.

Ar pensam estarem voltando a primavera.

The pianist

September afternoon, late summer, early falls. The central square
Of Bratislava doesn’t seem to realize that the cold, still small,
Makes itself already being felt. The pianist, black as ebony, in his
Ivory white suit, contrasts with everything around him. He plays,
He sings and enchants the audience and passers-by as well with
His sweet melody inviting every one around him to forget the
Time, the hardship of life and the sad winter which approaches.
The pianist, oblivious to everything around him, touches every one
Hearts with the beauty of his music and, in his face I see the
Certainty that at this moment nothing else matters to him.

The pianist with his music decorate, with the most beautiful
Flowers of the spring, the late summer. Passers-by feeling the
Aroma of the flowers in the air, think they are going back to spring.
The pianist, due to its very dark color, is an attraction a part for the
Locals unaccustomed to this difference. His melodies full of
Romantisms decorate, perfume the air in the fall of the afternoon
And, oblivious to the curious looks, the pianist plays the piano and
The sound of his music floats with the wind, climb up in the air, it
Goes high where no one discerns the color of his skin from his
Music letting prevail the beauty and the mastery of his play.

The pianist away from any thought, if not to charm, plays his
Melodies which invites us to travel away from the cold winter
Months that are just about to arrive, his music leads us to the
Illusion that spring has returned. The pianist plays and his play fill
The piano with life, fills the piano with joy making it pours love
And nostalgia out. The joy that springs from the piano warm up
This early autumn afternoon and the music dances in the air and
Take over everyone’s hearts with its passion. The pianist plays his
Melodies and the passers-by, curious, stop to listen to him and
Delight themselves with the beauty of the music and with the
Young’s pianist talent to exercise the practice to enchant.

O “daqui a pouco”.
