A minha carne - My flesh

A minha carne, mordida pela minha
Carne, dói.
Ela dói e assusta a minha fé que
Até então pensei ser forte.
A dor dói em mim sem piedade,
Sem misericórdia.
O medo abraça o meu corpo e a prece
Que sai da minha garganta fraqueja,
Ela parece querer abandonar o seu curso,
E o desespero me abraça.
Agora quase expostos
Oro!
Oro e me apego a minha fé, seguro-a no
Enfadonhos e sofridos.
A minha carne dói!
Ela dói  e um gemido agonizante escapa
Por entre os meus lábios e corre.
Ele foge!
E então ficamos a sós, eu, a dor e a minha fé.
A minha carne doi!
Ela doi e a minha fé desalentada me olha.
Dor atroz me tortura.
Somente a minha combalida fé permanece

My flesh

My flesh bite by my flesh and it hurts.

My flesh hurts and scares my faith

Which till now, I thought to be strong

But by facing such pain it falters.
The pain, mercilessly, hurts me,
Merciless the pain´s fear embraces
My body and the pray that comes out
Of my throat seems to abandon me,
It seems to want to abandon its path
Forcing the despair to embraces me.
My flesh bites me till its teeth reach
My bones which, soon, will expose
Itself under my skin. I pray! I pray and
I cling to my faith and hold it in an
Attempt to prevent it to leave me.
Nights are too long and the days too
Suffered. Tears are sad and despair
Ghastly.
My flesh hurts. An agonized groan
Escapes from my throat and runs
Away, it goes well far from where I
Am and we stay alone, me and my
Faith. My faith, dismayed, looks at me,
It looks to the bedroom´s door and,
Only by pity, remain with me.
Indecisive, weak in body and in faith I
Wonder if it's worth to wait for a new
Dawn. My flesh bites my flesh and the
Pain torture me, it hurts all over my
Body, it hurts even the act of to think.
All has gone, only my weak faith
Remains in me and trying do not lose
My faith I live my life day by day.

O “daqui a pouco”.
